Who is in the CIT Consortium?


Eric Foster, PhD

Eric Foster

Dr. Foster joined the faculty at the University of Iowa in the fall of 2012 as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics. Since joining the faculty, he has operated as a faculty biostatistician in the CTSDMC. He received his PhD in biostatistics from the University of Iowa in 2012 and has over five years of experience providing data management and statistical support to clinical trials. He is currently the Principal Investigator of the Clinical Islet Transplantation (CIT) Consortium, overseeing all statistical analysis and activities in that study.

Dr. Foster is the Statistical Design Team Leader, and has worked extensively with numerous PIs to enhance study design prior to grant submission. He coordinates all pre-award activities, and attends all DSMB meetings. Dr. Foster also serves as a core faculty member for the Clinical Trials Methodology Course.
